Portsmouth is nestled among the hills, on the banks of the Ohio River.  We will have a guided tour of the 1810 House, a museum of pioneer living. Step into this historic farm homestead, and be reminded of the courage of the pioneers who cleared this wild forest land, almost 200 years ago - it’s now part of suburbia! The collection of 18th century women’s hats will intrigue you. This is a hands-on museum. TOUCHING allowed!!!

Lunch will be at the Shawnee State Park—63,000 acres located in the Appalachian foothills near the bank of the Ohio River.

Our guided tour of the Portsmouth Flood Wall murals will be after lunch.  The flood wall murals trace the history of the area—from prehistoric Indians to present day.  The murals are very well done.

In the Emporium shop, you will find the usual and unusual;  antiques and collectibles of all types, silver,  china, glassware, vinyl records, toys, fine art, furniture, period clothing.  The list is endless with two restored floors of nearly 6,000 square feet and accessible by elevator.

Join us for a day of Portsmouth Potpourri!
