This event has become a yearly one by popular request. Not only do we pick up items we enjoy and get rid of items we no longer want, we love the
time to chat with old friends and co-workers, plus enjoy a very special lunch. You won’t want to miss this event!
You will display your items on tables, write your own starting price on the bidding slips that go with each item, then see how the price grows.
Meanwhile, you have selected items that interest you and have recorded your bid on the bidding slips. You may bid more than once if someone else
is competing with you for the same item. After lunch you are given one more opportunity to bid. If you are the last person to bid, the item is yours.
You pay for it and take it with you.
All the auction money will be donated to The David and Joanne Katonak Art Enrichment Fund that gives money to Art and Music Teachers in
Columbus City Schools for supplies and equipment.

The National Road was one of the most significant achievements in the history of our great country….and after nearly 200 years, it’s still very important to us. Vivian Brown , a retired teacher, will share her knowledge of the who, what, where and why of its original construction to today. Lunch will be at the conclusion of Vivian’s presentation. Where else but on the National Road!

How many of you have a loved one that you would want notified immediately if you had an accident? What if they have a different last name from yours and do not live at your residence? People react differently to tragedy.
Linda Wuestenberg reacted by making sure that others would not have to experience the heartbreak that she did. Linda worked with the Ohio Legislature to get a bill passed faster than any bill ever passed through. The bill provides a way that drivers can have a free, secure way to quickly unite loved ones in case of an accident.
Linda established a non-profit organization to educate citizens about the Ohio Next of Kin Database. She will be available after her presentation for anyone that would like to register.

Remember
Ray Pauken?
(Read about Ray on The Columbus Senior Musicians Hall of Fame, 2009 Induction
Ceremony) He’s one of our own CEA-R members...and a very popular banjo
player in this area. He’ll play and involve us in some musical fun before lunch.
Next, we’ll chow down with the finest of Italian food at the elegant Monaco’s Palace. They prepare their food in the old world method …..cooked slowly and carefully to ensure quality.
After lunch the Be3 Theatre Group will entertain us with their singing, dancing, acting and other performing arts. When Davis Arts Center funds were discontinued, parents and sponsors stepped in to save the program, renaming it the Be3 Theatre Group. Our program will be one of the first performances as Be3. These 8 to 12 year old ‘budding stars’ are excited to show us what they do best. And, who of us that were in education do not miss seeing performances by our young people?
