Ride three different trains and take in the magnificent scenes of the eastern sector of Ohio from Akron to Marietta.
Day 1.  Board the Southern Scenic Limited in Akron and enjoy the spectacular beauty as you ride along the Cuyahoga River and the historic Ohio & Erie Canal Way.  Go to New Philadelphia and check into our host hotel, the Schoenbrunn Inn, for the next two nights. There we’ll enjoy a private tour and have dinner at Warther’s Carvings.
Day 2 begins with a visit to Dresden Junction to see a huge display of train collections, then onto Cambridge to board the Byesville Scenic Railroad and hear the history of the area from a coal miner. Next we go to Dennison where we tour the Dennison Railroad Depot Museum, have dinner and attend the show, “Trumpet in the Land” which will take us  back to the founding of Ohio’s first settlement.
Day 3.  Board the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic RR in Independence for a nostalgic trip through the heart of Cuyahoga National Recreation area. Lunch at the  historic Station Restaurant in Berea followed by a visit to Medina Toy and Train Museum.  A visit to Orville Railroad Heritage Society completes this very delightful, educational trip.
